Exotic Wearables from India

Stitch Diva Jennifer Hansen has been travelling to India in recent years (read about her textile adventures in India on the blog!). Here are a few of the things she has found to share while on her adventures.

Her finds include:

• Bindis: The Bindi is an auspicious makeup traditionally worn by Indian women and girls on the forehead between the eyes-the third eye area. Although bindis are a part of India's heritage and culture, today the religious significance of the bindi is largely forgotten and it is worn as a fashion accessory.  Great as nail adornments!
• Nose Rings: Wear them whether your nose is pierced or not!
