Quick Overview

This pack of 5 unique yarns perfect for stitching crochet openwork.

Traditional crochet lace is beautiful and was most often done with white crochet thread. That doesn't mean we have to continue just using white crochet thread today!

One of the fun ways to translate these historical techniques into contemporary looks is to experiment with alternate fibers and yarns that preserve the intricate stitch definition of crochet lace while introducing alternative textures and colors.

In Jennifer Hansen's Classic Crochet Openwork class on Craftsy, Jennifer introduces the basics of 7 different kinds of crochet lace, and features a non-traditional yarn in each lesson.

Whether you are taking the class and would like to follow along with the same yarns, or you'd just like to do your own lace experiments,  this Sample Pack is a great way to try a variety of different yarns at a discounted price.

It can be hard picking out yarn colors on a computer screen!!  We now offer color cards for purchase for all of our Lucci Yarns. Order a color card.

Linen

Linen is a classic fiber with a clean crisp hand and elegant drape. It creates a refreshing hot weather fabric that softens after washing and has a beautiful and subtle sheen.

Jennifer uses this linen yarn in the Irish Crochet and the Filet Mesh lessons of the Crochet Openwork class.

Lessons taught with this yarn (Crochet Openwork on Craftsy): Mesh & Filet, Irish Crochet

Hemp

This strong, durable fiber yields more relaxed stitches and will soften with each wash.

Lessons taught with this yarn (Crochet Openwork on Craftsy): Bruges Lace

Rayon

Shimmering and lustrous with a delicious drape, this yarn makes even the simplest stitch pattern look deluxe.

Lessons taught with this yarn (Crochet Openwork on Craftsy): Trellis

DK Cotton Tape

One of our most popular yarns, this pure cotton tape really shines when used with open stitches such as Broomstick Lace, Hairpin Lace and Solomon's Knots.

Lessons taught with this yarn (Crochet Openwork on Craftsy): Hairpin Lace, Solomon's Knots

Mini Dina

A cotton/rayon blend yarn with just a hint of nylon to add strength.
