Class Limited to 10 Students - Great Opportunity for personalized Instruction
Do you know how to make a hairpin lace strip but just need help in understanding how to join them? Join Stitch Diva lead designer Jennifer Hansen as she covers the basic categories of hairpin lace joins, and create a pretty little bag using strips created as homework (or created in the optional "Beginning Hairpin Lace" morning workshop).
Take this class in conjunction with the morning session for a thorough introduction to this beautiful technique - Attendees of both workshops will be provided a complimentary buffet lunch.
Homework:Only students NOT taking the morning 'Beginning Hairpin Lace' class need to do the homework. Make 6 hairpin lace strips - Set the loom to 3", create 6 strips of equal length - of approximately 70 loops each. (Count loops on both sides). Need a refresher course on how to make the basic strip? Check out our tutorial.

| Location | This class is being held in a private home in the Santa Cruz mountains - just 10 minutes by car from downtown Los Gatos. There is no public transportation to this location, you will require your own car. Address will be provided as a download file upon enrollment. |
| Required Materials | Please bring the following required materials with you to the class:
Choose a smooth, non-variegated dk or worsted weight yarn. (Ideas: Stitch Diva Studios Studio Silk, Tilli Tomas Plie, Debbie Bliss Cathay, Caron Spa or Country). Choose a yarn that you would like for an evening bag you can be proud of! We will complete the evening bag in class. Bring the skein of yarn that you use to make your strips to class, as we will be using that yarn to join the strips into the evening bag. Choose a hook that yields a desirable gauge with the yarn that you choose. (Try F through H). Bring several hooks to class so that you can experiment. |
