Every year we look forward to Stitches West. It's so much fun to meet face to face with the knitters and crocheters that have worked our patterns, and speak in the flesh to the people we enjoy interacting with online. Here are a few highlights from the show. See our entire photo album on flickr.
Why, of course we gave away free chocolate and bindis with purchase! I was inspired by my recent trip to India.
Amy did her yarn shopping later on while looking up yarn requirements on her 3G ipad. LOVE it when crocheters and knitters go paperless!
Our cashier is a true gentleman and he was a hit with the ladies. Okay, maybe he's mostly a big hit with me... It's my husband and it's his first time working with me at the booth. I loved having him there.
Here I am with Tammy Hildebrand, crochet designer extra-ordinaire!
I'm wearing Andalusia.
Outerwear Corset sighting in the wild! Everyone who visited us wearing a garment based on one of our patterns got a free gift.
Knitted Cardi Wrap in action!
When she's not working at a show, Trish helps me out in the office. Here she is with Drew Emborsky, the Crochet Dude, who was signing books at the Fiesta Booth across the way.
Trish is wearing the Celebrity Shawl.
I gave ongoing demonstrations on the 3-Color-Tunisian technique used for the Stashbuster Blanket during the show. I love it when people pull up a chair and stitch along with me.
|She bought her yarn from us on Saturday and returned Sunday to show us her progress on her Modest Cloche.
Don't miss her endorsement of the Stashbuster Blanket from last year, it's a hoot!
Rhonda chose a great color for her Anais. She's gone crazy with this pattern - she's made at least 3 that I know of.
The Modest Cloche is making this crocheter happy,.
Floral Crochet Clogs!
This knitter thought the Sage Luxury leather handles were perfect for her felted bag. I LOVE these handles because they attach by screwing - you can invest in one pair of handles and use them between all your projects.
And yet another Stashbuster Blanket testimonial... Our hook is not cheap because it is a handcrafted tool made with care by Ed Jenkins of Jenkins Woodworking. But once people get their hands on one and see what they can do with this hook, they have a hard time sharing, just like this stitcher describes...
Congratulations to Judith Dillon - this year's winner of our $50 gift certificate! We have a gift certificate drawing for each show that we do. Don't forget to stop by our booth and enter when you visit one of our shows.
