Beautiful, fully adjustable and built to last: This handmade walnut hairpin lace loom is for craftspeople who take pleasure in both their tools and their projects.
In 2004, we asked Ed Jenkins of Jenkins Woodworking (formerly known as Artedje) to develop this truly unique hairpin lace frame and he exceeded our expectations. We recently asked him about modifying his already-great design so that the loom could work just as well for making very narrow strips as it works for making wide strips. Ed Jenkins exceeded our expectations again.
This new loom design incorporates bent-tip prongs and a new tensioning system so that now you can showcase the delicate detail of fine gauge wire just as easily as you can showcase the beauty of modern bulky yarns.
This frame has one of the widest range of adjustments we've seen. Not only can prong spacing can be configured from 1/2" to 6 1/8", but it has been engineered to accept your US#2/2.75mm knitting needles (not included) as additional guides. The frame ships with 2 walnut-tipped metal prongs.
Loom Specifications:
Return accepted within 10 days only. Wood is a natural material and as such is often characterized by what some may consider imperfections -- knots, beetle marks and other scars of life. Each loom is made by Ed’s hands, not machines. As such, the holes may not be in absolute alignment, the finials on top of the prongs will slightly differ in size and shape, and the walnut frames will vary in natural coloring. These small imperfections will not affect the function of the loom, but help to create the uniqueness and charm of each frame. Money back, or replacement is guaranteed if not satisfied.
Attention: International Shipping (outside of USA) costs vary and we are only able to provide a very rough estimate at checkout. We will email you after you have placed your order to let you know the exact shipping charge. You are free to cancel your order if you would not like to pay for the additional shipping.
